Dr Marvin Yau

Dr Marvin Yau, GDip (Dent), BOH (Dent Sci), completed his studies at Griffith University in sunny Queensland under the sponsorship of the Australian Defence Force. During this time in the Royal Australian Army Dental Corps, he developed a wide range of experience through working directly under the mentorship of specialist prosthodontists and periodontists. Marvin is now settled in Melbourne with his wife Reina and daughter Isla and has fallen in love with the community in Surrey Hills.

Marvin is passionate about providing quality and ethical care of the highest standard and enjoys taking the time to take a whole mouth approach to comprehensively plan for patients. He enjoys spending the time to ensure they have a complete understanding of their dental health and tailoring treatment to their specific needs.

Marvin has a special interest in surgical procedures and is particularly skilled in wisdom teeth removal and implant surgery. He has invested a lot of time travelling abroad, in particular to the United States to learn the latest in cosmetic and implant dentistry.

Having grown up in Sydney, Marvin loves exploring what Melbourne has to offer. He enjoys keeping fit through cycling, CrossFit and boxing and in his spare time he loves to read. Marvin can also be a bit of a homebody as he loves nothing more than spending time and cooking delicious meals for his wife and baby daughter Isla.
